FREELING MULTIPURPOSE AGRICULTURAL CENTRE UPDATE

25 Aug 2017 by Marie Chinner

An update on the Freeling Multipurpose Agricultural Centre…..

The Freeling Recreation Park Management committee have set up an account with Australian Sports Foundation. This is a place where personal/business donations can be made to support the build of the Freeling Multipurpose Agricultural Centre. The project is made possible by a $2.2million federal grant, as well as support from the Light Regional Council and FRPMC but will still need to gather financial support from the community & local businesses. All donations made through ASF are 100% tax deductable.

The centre will bring new opportunities for Agricultural sectors to our area; a place where trade shows, product release, training and development sessions can be held. Bringing visitors to our town!

The multipurpose centre will also become home to the Freeling Basketball Club. Currently all Freeling Basketball Club matches are played in Kapunda or Eudunda. This will save travel time and allow for a central place for the club to thrive.

The Freeling Football Club change rooms have been looking a little sad & outdated for some years now. The FFC have worked very hard to accumlate substantial funds to incorporate an update with the new multipurpose centre. Club members will benefit by new modern change facilities in season 2019, with intentions to incorporate a gym to benefit the club & whole community.

This is only a small snapshot of some of the benefits this Multipurpose centre will bring to our community. There will be flyers and community meetings circulated in the near future, to keep everyone involved & informed.
Please share this post. The greater the support we can generate the greater this multipurpose centre will be for all!
